The difference between soft and hard wax is the application, material use, and technique involved. Everyone has their preference but I believe both waxes have their purpose and can be effective if the technician has mastered the art of waxing. Soft wax needs fabric to be removed because it doesn't harden on its own. Hard wax just needs to cool before it is removed. Soft wax attaches to the skin, giving you a superficial exfoliation leaving your skin smooth while hard wax just attaches to the hair and doesn't exfoliate your skin. If your hair is thin or coarse, soft wax is recommended. I've noticed that hard wax has been less effective in picking up finer hair textures.

What is the difference between soft and hard wax?

Can I get a Brazilian wax if I'm under 18?

You must be 18 to receive a Brazilian wax. If you need your bikini line waxed you just need parental consent and they must be present with you during the service.

How long does a Brazilian wax take to complete?

For first time waxers, a Brazilian may take between 20-25 minutes. For regular waxers, no longer than 15 minutes.
